Cathy (Zodiac)

For the boat, we designed and manufactured our own battery and battery enclosure. The battery was 96 V and was capable of powering a ME 1616 motor over the course of a 5 mile race.

For the outboard, we took a gasoline outboard and fitted it with a motor and motor controller. The tiller handle was operated by the boat's captain which controlled the boat's speed and direction.
